We asked some of our past brides to share their top tips with us to make sure that all our Bride-to-be’s have the most wonderful wedding day. We thought it would be great to find out what brides loved the most about their wedding day or what they missed to help you prioritise your day and ensure you have the best time. We know that the wedding day goes super quick and you’re so busy enjoying yourself that the time just runs away with you. So, we asked our brides for any advice on how to get the most out of your special day.

We have also got pictures from our lovely brides for you to view below. You never know, you may find some inspiration!

Thank you so much to all our brides who sent us images and tips, we really do appreciate it and we know that lots of ladies who are getting ready for their big day will find it really useful.

To our brides who are yet to get married, we wish you the most magical day and we can’t wait to see your photos once you have tied the knot!

Here are a list of the top tips our brides gave us:

  1. Enjoy every moment and don’t worry about the little things that might not go exactly to plan.
  2. Stop and realise how lucky you are to have friends and family that are here just for you. It’s pretty special when you think about it.
  3. Don’t try to please everyone -do what you and your partner want!
  4. Breathe, enjoy the day and take it all in! So what if the chair ribbons are the wrong colour or the flowers don’t match, no one will notice!
  5. Make sure you have 10 minutes to yourself as a couple after you get married and before the meal starts, just to really take in what has happened and have a few special first moments together.
  6. Make sure the venue staff cut you and the groom some slices of cake so you actually get to have your cake and eat it!
  7. Most importantly, spend as much time on the day with your new husband/wife! The day flies by so quickly, and any extra time you can get together will be so precious to you once the day is over. We have a ‘first look’ photo session before the ceremony, but you could have your ceremony early so the day lasts longer, or steal an hour or so after the speeches to sneak away for a walk on your own together, it really does help you slow down and take it all in together.
  8. Your photographer is there to get all the beautifully composed photos of you two that will end up in your amazing wedding album, but you should collect as many of the ‘silly’ photos which your family and friends take as possible!
  9. Try to eat something on the day! You have paid for all this wonderful food, have some! I didn’t eat much all day including when the buffets were out. I did end up very drunk! Probably would have helped if I had eaten more than a croissant, a handful chips and a bite of a mini burger all day!
